A rare opportunity has arisen for a very experienced and highly motivated Treatment Consultant/Front Office Co-ordinator to join our team on a full-time basis!

The Treatment consultant's role will be to greet and interview all new patients, discuss and explain treatment plans, discuss costs and organize payment plans where needed. Prepare contracts and consents for orthodontic treatment, follow up outstanding treatment plans. 

Working closely with Practice Principal Dr Tania Lucas and associate dentists Dr Mathew Dawson and Dr Raena Tabesh.  The role will also include regular front office work to help out the 2 other front office co-ordinators and Practice Manager.

This position requires a commitment to work full time hours, including 1 or 2 evenings and some Saturday's.

A minimum of 5 years experience in the industry is essential along with -excellent communication skills, team work, attention to detail & the ability to multitask in a fast-pace environment are all essential to succeeding in this role.

Heart of the role:

  • Greet and interview all new patients 
  • Discuss and explain treatment plans, costs and organize payment plans where needed
  • Prepare contracts and consents for orthodontic treatment, follow up outstanding treatment plans
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships by providing excellent customer service to our patients
  • Ensure smooth and efficient running of the front office area
  • Patient liaisons; communicating the need for treatment to our patients in an educated and professional manner
  • High-end patient care; building & maintaining relationships with all clients in a friendly & warm manner
  • Patient management; answering all phone enquiries, greeting and assisting clients, checking, processing & managing customer accounts; assisting to manage the patient recall system
  • Processing referrals; finalising referral letters and other practice correspondence, managing internal & external referrals
  • Working closely with the clinical team

What you'll bring:

  • 5 years minimum experience in providing general dental chair-side assistance
  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting would be advantageous
  • Exceptional professional & communication skills, with the ability to confidently explain all dental procedures including preventive, routine and complex restorative, cerec, root canal, implants, veneers, Invisalign and orthodontics
  • Proven track record of punctuality and reliability
  • Ability to build rapport with patients in a cheerful light-hearted manner
  • Mature outlook and professional presentation
