As we continues to focus on delivering enhanced services to our practices, we have a rewarding permanent career opportunity available for an professional and passionate Quality and Safety Associate who has experience with quality management systems (QMS), policies, and procedures, internal audit programs, incident management programs, training and vendor assurance programs – including the supporting, monitoring, and documentation relevant to these systems to join the Bupa Dental Risk and Quality team, based in Lane Cove.


The primary focus of this position is to;



  • Play a key role in supporting the Head of Risk and Quality to develop, implement and maintain a quality framework as well as maintain the Work Health and Safety (WHS) management system across the business

  • Assist in the management of the company’s quality and WHS management systems, under the direction of the Head of Risk and Quality, to ensure practice compliance to National Safety and Quality Health Standards (NSQHS) , radiation, WHS legislation and other relevant regulatory requirements

  • Mentor other team members and provide guidance in the quality and safety space


About the role:



  • Assist the Head of Quality and Risk in the design, development, and management of the QMS and WHSMS

  • Ensure monthly quality KPI data is gathered and reported to senior management for inclusion in the monthly report

  • Data gathering, analysis, and reporting to support continuous improvement as required

  • Support the creation, maintenance and implementation of a Practice Standards Framework that will assist dental practitioners and practices to attain and maintain compliance with relevant legislation & industry standards

  • Investigate incidents and complaints to ensure adequate resolution in a timely manner

  • Assist in the delivery of a Work Health and Safety (WHS) plan for practices to comply with current WHS and OHS regulations and legislation


About you:



  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with quality management systems (QMS), policies, and procedures, internal audit programs, incident management programs, training and vendor assurance programs – including the supporting, monitoring, and documentation relevant to these systems
  • Qualifications in WHS or extensive experience in risk management

  • Experience in developing, monitoring WHS plan

  • Knowledge of WHS/OHS Acts and Regulations

  • Sound knowledge of GxP or similar

  • Experience with implementation and maintenance of quality programs

  • Experience in design and maintenance of a QMS

  • Experience in coordinating and facilitating the implementation of standard operating procedures to enable the enactment and ongoing compliance by customer facing staff

  • A proven ability to support the collection of data, identify opportunities and build recommendations in relation to improved quality and safety performance

  • A demonstrated understanding of incident and complaints management processes

  • Previous experience gained from working in healthcare sector partnered with a knowledge of Radiation Acts and Regulations would be advantageous but not essential
