Pascoe Vale Dental Group is an established practice that prides in delivering first-class treatment and dental care for their patients.  Our dedicated team of 3 Dentists, 2 Hygienists and 1 Oral Health Therapist is constantly up to date with the latest treatments, offering a thorough and personalised approach to patient care, with a simple philosophy based on trust, respect and empathy. We are seeking an experienced and Certificate 3 qualified Dental Assistant with at least 2 years' of experience providing chairside assistance. You will work closely with the clinical team in ensuring the practice complies with infection control protocol according to the standards of the Australian Dental Association as well as providing quality general dental chairside assistance including 4 handed dentistry. This role requires candidates to be available to work full time Mondays to Fridays with late night Wednesday shifts till 8:30pm. We believe in continuing professional development and education for all members of our staff and there will be ongoing support in these areas for the suitably qualified candidate.

About the role:

  • Collaborate closely with the clinical team; assist in all aspects of general dentistry
  • General Hygiene assistance where required
  • Assist with building patient relations and prepare them for dental treatment
  • Sterilisation of Dental instruments and equipment
  • Coordination of laboratory work
  • Maintain and implement procedures relating to the clinic, including infection control according to standards of the ADA
  • Treatment planning and charting

About you:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in dental assisting is essential 
  • A Certificate III in dental assisting is the minimum requirement
  • Professional, highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work well under pressure in a very busy practice
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills
  • Well presented
  • Available to work Wednesday evenings until 8:30pm
