Bupa Dental Coburg is seeking an experienced Dental Treatment Coordinator to begin in February 2020. Operating within a busy and dynamic environment, the role is a key driver in providing the outstanding level of customer service our patients have grown to know and to manage the practices treatment plans and improve treatment conversion rates.


The role is a permanent full time position that requires a commitment of 4-5 days a week with the flexibility to work on Saturdays essential.


About the role:



  • Demonstrate a high level of patient care, building and maintaining relationships

  • Use detailed clinical knowledge and strong communication skills to complete a thorough treatment consultation with patients

  • Working across clinical and admin sides of the business as required

  • Chair side assist our dentists across various dental procedures

  • Assisting with patient management; building relationships with all patients

  • First point of contact for patient phone calls and enquiries showing exceptional interpersonal skills and professional phone manner

  • Processing of payments and accounts while demonstrating a high accuracy in all account functions – EFTPOS, HICAPS, daily banking reconciling

  • Appointment scheduling and ability to, reserving appointments and working with patient requirements

  • Instrument sterilisation and infection control solutions


Having a strong understanding of both clinical and general administration duties required in a dental practice


About you:



  • Minimum 2 years chairside assisting experience

  • Certificate IV in dental assisting preferred

  • Be able to assist efficiently with all clinical treatments

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • High emphasis on patient care and helping them achieve their dental goals

  • Strong knowledge of chairside assisting - possessing a thorough and accurate working knowledge of materials & instruments for all procedures

  • Front desk experience at a local dental practice preferred

  • Strong leadership skills to direct staff in a nurturing and understandable way

  • Ability to demonstrate a strong focus on patient care

  • A collaborative approach in working with a wider administration team

  • Proven experience to work effectively both within a team and independently

  • Ability to effectively solve problems as they arise

  • Exceptional multi-tasking, organisational and communication skills

  • Positive, friendly, can do attitude shown consistently

  • Strong experience in dental administration and use of dental software
