The Dental Centre is a family dental practice that has been providing holistic, patient-centred dental care in Broken Hill since 1984. Operating from modern, state-of-the-art premises with a highly-trained team of multi-skilled staff, our practice offers a wide range of preventive, cosmetic and restorative procedures, providing the highest possible quality and care. With the recent addition of a third Dentist to our practice, we are growing at a rapid rate and require a dedicated, engaged and patient-centred Dental Assistant to join our team.

We are offering a full-time position to work as a Dental Assistant at our practice, The Dental Centre, in Central Broken Hill. Ideally, the successful applicant will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Dental Assistant, however, for the right applicant we will provide training in Certificate III and IV in Dental Assisting.

We are searching for a friendly person with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn and work as part of a close-knit team.

Heart of the Role:

  • General chair-side assisting
  • Collaborate closely with the Practice Manager and Principal Dentist
  • Provide sterilisation and infection control solutions
  • Prepare patients & facilities for dental treatment
  • Assist with building patient relations
  • Maintain stock control
  • Front desk reception duties when required
